The trailer of the drama Beyond Evil was released on 19th February and showed us a glimpse of what we as viewers can expect from the drama overall. The trailer covered the minute to major details of the drama and started off with a view of a room from where detective Lee Dong Shik is heading out. Han Joo Won is also a detective and a fellow senior in the post of Lee Dong Shik. He has been recently transferred to Manyang Police Substation. Lee Dong Shik introduces himself formally as a detective from team one and immediately gets a witty response from Han Joo Won. He states he is not the one who likes to wipe his hands. Han Joo Won suspects Lee Dong Shik since he was the only suspect from the kidnap and murder case 20 years ago. Meanwhile, Han Joo Won is also quite secretive and has his father in senior ranking in the same department. Han Joo Won tries hard to solve the case and gives in his best efforts. Lee Dong Shik surmounts an air of mystery around him, his smile is often evil, and we don’t know who could turn out to be the antagonist of the story at any moment. Beyond Evil Episode 10 Overview

Beyond evil is an ongoing South Korean drama and revolves around Han Joo Won and Lee Dong Shik’s two main characters. The story is an utter spinoff of Mystery, Thrill, Psychological, and drama. Lee Dong Shik is a suspicious character. Indeed with his facial expressions, we can feel anything can go wrong at any moment. The case unveiling continues, and Lee Dong Shik and Han Joo Won continue their hunt. The overall plot of the story deals with the life of two capable detectives Han Joo Won and Lee Dong Shik. Lee Dong Shik was once a capable detective and was demoted due to some reason. Han Joo Won comes in as his senior, and they both team up to stop the mass killings’ culprits. After a series of crimes and killings, Han Joo Won traces it to a case back from 20 years, and they both vow to solve it. As the case digs deeper, the shreds of evidence come one by one, concluding the innocence of none, that is, no one could be trusted, not even themselves. The episode starts with Han Joo Won sitting in a fancy restaurant drinking amidst the morning when a guy comes up to him to discuss the case of Kang Jin Mook and its death suspect. In the very next scene, we see a police officer searching for Yoo Jae Yi. Meanwhile, Joong Jae is seen shocked at the crime site visit and keeps on mumbling; you were here after all until Oh Ji Hwa comes and tells him he should have come here with Lee Dong Shik. Lee Dong Shik tells that he found Yu Yeon to Nam Sang Bae, he tells him to go to his sister, to which he grieves about after 21 years of waiting he never imagined to find the body of his sister in half decomposed manner, where he won’t be even able to identify her body. After grieving about Yu Yeon to Nam Sang Bae, he holds him in a holding cell for 72hrs; his fellow juniors are worried about him. Han Joo Won gets a surprise visit from Lee Dong Shik, who directly attacks him by questioning, ”why did you put the fishing line and death certificate there?” since he doesn’t have any solid proof against him, Han Joo Won smiles and wittily handles the situation. After a cold conversation, Lee Dong Shik pulls out all his cards to prove Han Joo Won was the one who put the certificates in there. Yoo Jae Yi and Lee Dong Shik are seen having a conversation about what did she see at the back station of Munju station on the day Kang Jin Mook died. Later, Han Joo Won pays a visit to the chief Bae in the holding cell. Joo Won’s father and Joo Won have a deep conversation about the case; later, Joo Won complains about his father that in 28years of his life he has seen his father for less than a year in total, he sent him off to the UK at an early age and now doesn’t deserve to act fatherly all of a sudden. Lee Dong Shik pays a visit to Lee Yu Yeon’s body and discovers that she was attacked multiple times since her multiple bones were broken, so that she dies to death. His sister was brutally murdered in the year 2000, and it makes his blood boil to know the torments done with her sister. Towards the end, we see chief Nam was kidnapped, and Han Joo Won informs Lee Dong Shik and rushes to help him. We are left in utter shock since nobody could save chief Nam, and he dies on the scene. The Cast of Beyond Evil

The direction of the entire drama has been done under Shim Na Yeon, with screenwriting under Kim Soo Jin. In the main role, Shin Ha Kyun has been cast for the role of Lee Dong Shik and Yeo Jin Goo as Han Joo Won. In the major support role, we have Choi Dae Hoon as Park Jung Je, who is an inspector general, Choi Sung Eun as Yoo Jae Yi, Kim Shin Rok as Oh Ji Hwa, Chun Ho Jin as Nam Sang Bae, the Chief of Manyang Police Substation, Naam Yoon Su as Oh Ji Hoon, and Kang Min Ah as Kang Min Jung. Shin Ha Kyun is a much experienced South Korean actor; he has gained popularity with time with his versatile roles. A few of his popular works include Beyond Evil, Inseperable Bros, The villainess, Running man, The front line, Welcome to Dongmakgol, Sympathy for lady Vengeance, Guns and talks, and save the green planet. Yeo Gin Goo is a South Korean actor who began his career as a child actor, debuting in the film Sad Movie (2005). He is much loved by the Korean audience and was even nicknamed Nation’s Little Brother. He started off really young and has been working since then. His notable works include Beyond evil, Hotel Del luna, The crowned clown, Circle, The royal gambler, The long way home, Shoot my heart, Hwayi, a monster boy, and Sad movie. He also appeared in numerous other dramas and movies in support roles and guest roles.

Beyond Evil can be watched on the original network JTBC and airs at 11 pm KST every Friday and Saturday. The duration of each episode is approximately 1 hr 10 mins.
